Aaron Gelfand has 18 years of experience designing, programming, troubleshooting, supporting, and managing a variety of electronic test system integration projects. These projects include manufacturing test systems, research and development systems, and process control systems.
Aaron holds a B.S. in Ocean Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL.

Project Experience
Automated Test
- PCBA component test system: Developed self-diagnostics to verify test system was operating properly, later joined test development team. Designed 5th-7th revision of test system PCB to accommodate new features on upcoming versions of the PCBA.
LabVIEW, LabVIEW RT, LabVIEW FPGA, PXI, Switch, SMU, DAQ, I2C, SPI - Multimedia test system: Acted as software lead to develop an end of line manufacturing test system for multimedia devices. Tests included audio (tone), audio (speech), video (static test pattern), video (decoding & playback quality), and IR remote control tests.
LabVIEW, Vision, DSA - Functional Verification Tester: Developed 2nd generation manufacturing test software for National Instruments FieldPoint and Compact FieldPoint product lines.
LabVIEW, TestStand, SCXI, PXI, DMM, Switch, Serial, IVI - Cable Validation: Created a replacement for an existing cable tester that was built in the 1980’s and was no longer serviceable. Documentation for original test system was solely reverse engineered schematics of the custom PCBs.
LabVIEW, Switch, SMU, DAQ, IVI, HI-Potential Tester - Gas Panel Test System: Created a modular system to test multiple types of Gas Panel flow control systems used for semiconductor fabrication.

- Processor Characterization System: Created a characterization framework allowing multiple parameters to be varied to observed performance and collect data from new processors. Framework included a standardized TCP/IP communication protocol allowing Ruby and Python interactions to the devices under test.
LabVIEW, TestStand, Thermal Controllers - RF Semiconductor Characterization System: Created a characterization framework to test RF semiconductor silicon under varying instrument parameters.
LabVIEW, GPIB, Serial - In-Flight Data Logger: Created a data-logger for in-flight data collection of flight and engine parameters to validate installation of alternate engine types.

- Air Craft Engine Manufacturing Line Control: Retrofitted and troubleshot the control system used to (re)plate aircraft engine cylinders.
